C. militaris has been shown to have significant promise as an antioxidant in a number of different investigations (Shweta et al. 2023). The polysaccharides and phenolic compounds in C. militaris are the primary source of the antioxidant having the capability of scavenging and neutralizing hydroxyl radicals (Zhao et al. 2007; Muszynska et al. 2021).
